The Washington PA Bassmasters will be holding our open tournament at Cross Creek Lake on Sunday, September 12 2010 7am to 3pm. Entry fee is $70.00 with an optional lunker fee of ($10.00) per boat. Applications accepted at the ramp the morning of will be given boat numbers in the order of acceptance.(CASH ONLY). Out of the 29 boats that entered our open tournament on Saturday, August 7 2010 at Cross Creek Lake on a very difficult day to bring in a 15 inch keeper, only 6 boats caught a total of nine keeper bass to bring to the scale. The father and son team of John and Johnathan Miller were able to catch 3 legal fish weighing in at 9 pounds 12 ounces for the right to claim first place. The Millers owe all their thanks to one of our newest sponsors Poor Boy Baits for the bag of the day, The baits that they got the fish on were a Poor Boys tube the color was a Pumpkin with blue flake, and a jig with a Kisser craw trailer in pumpkin with gold flake. Johnathan stated with the new kistler z bone rod the sensitivity is unbelievable and could feel the tough bite. Good job on doing your homework and picking the right baits for the win.

My "One That Got Away" story happened in May 2006. I was in my second year of fishing the Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Weekend Series and hadn't been fishing tournaments for very long.
